Fissure sealants are liquid plastic coatings which fill in these grooves and fissures, and can stop decay before it has a chance to start eating away at the teeth. This means no filling is required!
This is a very quick procedure, which doesn’t require any anaesthetic. A priming coat is applied to the tooth before the fissure sealant is applied.
