Dr. Daniel completed his Bachelor of Health Sciences in Dentistry and Master of Dentistry in 2013 at Latrobe University Bendigo. He then started his career working in private practice in the country towns of Benalla and Shepparton. Daniel enjoys doing a wide range of dental procedures including preventative care, aesthetic fillings, veneers, root canals, and orthodontics. He has completed 2 years of training with Progressive Orthodontic Seminars to further his knowledge in orthodontics as a general practitioner, and is recognized as a Fellow of the International College of Continuing Dental Education. Daniel has also been on several volunteer dental outreaches including dental mission trips to the Philippines and Poipet, Cambodia, providing basic dental treatment to areas of poor access.
Apart from being gentle and thorough in his work, Daniel is always looking to achieve the best, long-lasting outcome for his patients. His aim is to be sensitive to the patient’s desires to make their overall dental experience at ease. Fear of the unknown in dental treatment can be a factor contributing to dental anxiety, so Daniel values the time spent in explaining each procedure and option to reassure his patients. He appreciates that understanding the patient can take time, and involves being able to convey back to them what they are communicating accurately.
Daniel is good with kids and enjoys connecting with young patients. He works to ensure that good dental experiences are started young and maintained through the rest of the life. He sees patients of all ages and is also fluent in Chinese, Mandarin. Daniel has an eye for detail and particularly enjoys planning aesthetic smile transformations. He himself had braces and jaw surgery, and understands what patients are going through when doing major dental treatment. Overall he finds that the simple things done well are as rewarding as the detailed, complex work of major dental treatment. Seeing patients regaining the confidence to smile is one of the biggest motivations for his passion in dentistry.
After work Daniel likes to wind down by going for a skate or bike ride. He plays violin for his church worship team and likes to get competitive in soccer and futsal. Daniel loves adrenaline and is always looking for opportunities to get some air time when mountain biking or snowboarding.
