Dr. Alex Loh is a highly experienced dentist in Wantirna with skills encompassing a very large scope of dentistry. He graduated from The University Of Melbourne in 2003, and has continued to pursue further training after graduation to continually expand his knowledge of clinical dentistry. He is currently a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons, a Fellow of the International College of Continuing Dental Education and a Fellow of the International Academy of Dental Facial Esthetics. Alex is also an examiner for the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.
He is particularly interested in orthodontics, having previously completed a Graduate Diploma of Clinical Dentistry in Orthodontics, as well as a Master of Clinical Dentistry in Orthodontics. He offers services in both conventional orthodontics (using braces) and invisible systems. He also is well versed in early intervention orthodontics, offering treatment at a younger age to potentially obviate the need for braces at a later stage.
Alex has also completed a Graduate Diploma of Clinical Dentistry in Dental Implantology to provide services in both the surgical and restorative components of implant dentistry. This includes training for even multiple units of implants to replace large areas of missing teeth.
Fascinated by the latest technological developments in dentistry, Alex is experienced in providing digital dentistry. Redesigning a smile, orthodontic alignment of teeth and replacing missing teeth are all services that Alex can provide using a digital scanner and computer aided design.
Alex is most focused on providing a caring approach to dentistry. He understands that for many people, the thought of dental treatment can be scary. As a result, he takes his time to carefully explain each procedure and also ensure that patients feel comfortable whilst in the dental chair. He’s even intentionally and personally experienced many of the treatments available himself, so that he can understand what patients are going through!
In his spare time, Alex is an avid musician, playing guitar and piano – and even continues his love for music at eDentistry’s 12 Days of Christmas where patients show off their musical skills on our social media profile!
