Before and After Replacing all teeth with implant overdentures
In some situations, all the remaining teeth are in a terminal condition and cannot be replaced. Standard complete dentures are often very unstable and can severely affect the ability to eat and speak, and decrease the quality of life. Dental implants can be used to stabilise dentures to create a very successful prosthesis – this is called an “overdenture”.
Before and After Replacing all teeth with implant overdentures
JE had a history of dental decay and unfortunately had reached a point where the remaining teeth were no longer salvageable. Treatment options were discussed and JE had decided to have overdentures stabilised by implants to replace all the terminally involved teeth.
Using ‘digital dentistry’, the ideal smile was determined. The position of implants to support the overdenture was planned with extreme precision.
Look at JE’s new smile – JE can now eat, speak and function with overdentures that do not move and are extremely stable in the mouth.
