Ruth comes to us with over 35 years experience in the dental industry. She qualified as a Dental assistant in general practice & then spent over 9 years in an orthodontic practice, where she thoroughly enjoyed seeing patients leave at the end of their treatment with beaming smiles and straight teeth.
Following the birth of her son, Ruth decided to move into the community health sector; working in the school dental service and community centres where she integrated both her dental assisting and reception responsibilities. Being part of a team providing dental treatment and oral health education to these children and adults really made a difference in Ruth’s life. She is proud to have been a part of a program & to assist in providing treatment to those who may not have been able to access treatment otherwise.
With a Certificate IV in Business Administration, Ruth is confident in managing and co-ordinating dental appointments efficiently – making both the clinician and patient feel more relaxed and comfortable during their visit, which she believes is an integral part of the dental experience. Her aim is to support and encourage people to feel less anxious about coming to the see the dentist.
Ruth enjoys going the movies & markets and taking her little puppy Lexi for walks. She is looking forward to travelling again and being able to see more of this beautiful country we live in.
