Prajakta, lovingly known as ‘Jacqui’ earned her Bachelors in Dental Surgery in 2008. She worked in various established dental practices in rural and urban scenarios. She loves working with kids, senior citizens and everyone in between! She also completed the Australian Dental Council certificate in 2019. Practicing across varied scenarios has shaped her cultural awareness and sharpened her problem-solving skills.
She has a lifelong love of learning and is constantly upskilling herself in aesthetic dentistry, children’s dentistry, dental care for patients with special needs and all aspects of general dentistry. As a mum herself, she is gentle and patient.
She always had a love for life sciences, languages, crafts and most importantly people! She has a warm demeanor and is an attentive, empathic listener. All these traits made a caring occupation like dentistry her first choice!
Outside of dentistry, Jacqui loves listening to (and sometimes singing along with) Hindustani classical and semi-classical music. She also takes to creative writing and loves reading outback stories. She thoroughly enjoys cooking for her family and tending to her garden. Folding origami brings her much joy.
A linguaphile, she speaks fluent Hindi and Marathi in addition to English. She loves learning about “dental speak” in various languages!
